Where is iberian peninsula
The Iberian Peninsula is in southwestern Europe. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and northwest, the Mediterranean Sea to the east and southeast, and the Pyrenees Mountains to the northeast.
How it works
Spain and Portugal occupy most of the peninsula. Andorra, a small country in the Pyrenees, and the British territory of Gibraltar are also located on it.

Example or application
On a map, the peninsula lies south of France and north of Morocco, across the Strait of Gibraltar. Its position connects Atlantic and Mediterranean routes.
Scope and limits
Political boundaries and the geographic definition can vary slightly in references. “Iberian Peninsula” describes a landform region, not a single country.
