Expert artificial intelligence
An artificial-intelligence expert has substantial knowledge or demonstrated skill in a relevant AI area. The field includes different specialties, so expertise in one application does not automatically establish expertise in every model, system, or social consequence.
Meaning and context
Look for evidence tied to the task: research, implemented systems, evaluation work, relevant professional experience, or clear explanations supported by results. A confident title or frequent use of a chatbot is not sufficient by itself.

Examples and usage
Someone experienced in computer vision may be well placed to assess an image-classification project, while another specialist may focus on language-model evaluation. Both can be AI experts with different limits. A useful introduction names the specific domain.
What to check
When choosing advice, ask what claim is being made and what evidence supports it. Distinguish technical skill from authority on legal, medical, or business decisions. An AI-generated answer also requires checking; producing fluent text does not demonstrate verified expertise.
