Film and cast details

The film adapts Dr. Seuss’s story into a feature-length musical fantasy. Voice credits refer to the 2012 movie; other adaptations or productions may use different performers.

How the film fits

The 2012 film expands Dr. Seuss’s short book into a feature-length story, so its cast includes characters created for the adaptation. Danny DeVito voices the Lorax, while Ed Helms voices the Once-ler. Other Lorax adaptations may have different performers.

Credits and versions

The 2012 adaptation’s voice cast includes performers who sing as well as speak. Danny DeVito’s Lorax is the story’s environmental advocate, while the Once-ler recounts how the Truffula forest disappeared. Voice roles should be tied to the 2012 version, not the book.
