Fire croc pokemon

Fuecoco is the fire-type crocodile-like starter Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It evolves into Crocalor and then Skeledirge.

Game context

Fuecoco is one of the three starter choices in the Paldea games. Its design draws on a crocodilian shape, but it is a fictional Pokémon rather than a real reptile.

Mechanics and story

Fuecoco is the first stage of a three-stage evolution line introduced in Scarlet and Violet. The line becomes Crocalor and then Skeledirge, keeping a fire-themed crocodilian design. Starter choices affect the player’s early team but do not lock the rest of the game’s story.

Version-specific notes

Fuecoco is the fire starter chosen from the Paldea trio alongside Sprigatito and Quaxly. It evolves through leveling rather than a special item in Scarlet and Violet. Its final form adds Ghost typing, making the line distinct from a real crocodile comparison.
